What are we reading?

I was just perusing some of the older comments and topics in this thread and it got me to thinking; "It's been almost a year since we last talked about it, but what is everyone currently readying?"

Here's what is currently in my "Must Read" piles:

DC's Infinity "Series" & spinoffs For me this is the sequential art equivalent of "We are living in interesting times!" While the small percentage of readers discussing this online seem to enjoy taking shots at this, I have yet to meet anyone in person who hasn't liked it. What DC is doing with pushing the human aspect of their characters and putting their personal, professional, and heroic lives in chaos is fantastic to me. They could simply have made these stories an "elseworlds" project and let it go, but instead they have made a great story and the characters involved have to deal with these reprecussions in their own titles.

Fables Green Funk gave a great little review of this title last year and it still holds true. Check out what he had to say here: The Funky Review.

Y, The Last Man This is another title that Green Funk mentioned last year and I picked up as a result. Yeah, it's a bit dark, but the story is compelling, the characters are interesting, and it always leaves me wanting the characters to solve the problem of keeping humanity alive and seeing the main characters finding what they need from life.

The Flash This is a specific storyline spin-off from the Identity Crisis. The rogues from Flash have drawn up sides and are going to war with each other. It's still real early into this storyline, but there is something to it that smacks of a classic feeling that I am really enjoying, all the while taking place in our contemporary world with up to date issues.

The New Avengers I have to give Marvel credit with this book. It's well done and has a great story. Following the tragedy visited on the team by the Scarlet witch, this team has gotten together as a result of a prison breakout that was initiated by the villian with the worlds dumbest mask, Electro! The more I read this title, the more I like it. Cap, Iron Man, Spiderman, Spiderwoman, Wolverine, Dare Devil, and Supreme make for a great team that is the most powerful Avengers team that I can remember. Now that the author has revealed that there is a spy in the group and who it is, I am dying to know "WHY?"
