Hitchhiker's Guide...
Okay despite hearing some pretty bad reviews about this movie, I have to say that after seeing it I was not disappointed.
Was it the book? No how could it be. Its two hours. The original radio broadcast was 14 hours and the extended one was 23 hours. 2 hours can't even cover all the dialog in the book I don't think.
Also its a big mistake for anyone who goes into a movie adapted from a book to expect the movie to be the book.
The important thing is that all the important socio-political stuff in the book is covered, and some of the jokes are much funnier in delivery than even in the radio broadcast from what I remember.
Its a little modernized as the books and radio broadcasts were done some time ago now.
So if you liked the books go see the movie. Remember that nothing really matters. All you need is love. And above all else... Don't Panic!
And it had a Serenity trailer. I wish I had seen all of Firefly.

You can get the series on DVD or I can let ya borrow my copy or I could just bring my copy over one night to watch a couple of key episodes with my fav episode being the one titled "War Stories". It one of the darker episodes but it shows just how willing the crew is to circle the wagons when a member is threatened.

Drat - I missed the Serenity trailer. Was it right at the beginning, or close to the movie? I'm wondering whether some prints have it and some don't.
Besides the Batman preview I saw, it seemed like a really odd bunch of previews to show - not one sci-fi film among them.
Shouldn't complain too much, though - I get to go to the Serenity sneak preview this Thursday at 10pm (thereby meaning I'll miss the Eden TF (boo! I made 39 and everything!)
Can't wait for the movie - bring it ON!
