XMEN III

My feelings are this...

Like you said sfx were great, and none of them were a let down. Especially the "cool" one towards the end. If anything there were not enough of them for a movie with such a large budget.

I was sorely disappointed that, after the advent of Sky High, they didn't through in more hallway shots of mutants using their powers at the mansion.

I understand why they did what they did in some cases. One actor didn't want to even be in this movie, and the other one didn't want to be in any more after this one. The third one? Well you knew how the story goes going in.

Will there be a forth movie? God I hope not.

I think that this movie is cut to 1:43 in length is a mistake. It clearly needed to go to 2:13 - it suffered greatly from "too much on the cutting room floor" syndrome.

Not enough of Juggernaut doing his thing (really they should of used him to clear the bridge and not Magneto). I'm sort of disappointed that they made him a mutant, but at the same time the real deal would be too much information in a movie that already suffers from information overload.

Not enough of Colossus being Colossus. In a battle made for someone like him, they barely used him.

The explanation they give for Jean Grey being so weak in the last two movies and then the most powerful mutant ever in this one were... well... weak. Though I suppose for the scene at the end with her and Wolverine, it was worth it.

Shadowcat vs Juggernaut was probably one of my favorite segments in the movie. That along with Wolvering invading Mageneto's camp.

In short, too much information crammed into too short a movie. The should have broken it into two movies and released them 6 months apart and ridden the $$$ wave all year long.
